Map of District Boundaries

The District is composed of the Town of Los Altos Hills and the unincorporated areas generally referred to as the Loyola, Los Trancos Woods and San Antonio Hills. The District comprises an area of about 12.03 square miles.

While the town boundaries form the core and the largest portion of the district, there are a number of other areas within the county (contiguous with the town) that are also covered by the district. These areas fall naturally within the district when viewed from the perspective of firefighting effectiveness rather than political boundaries. If these “county” areas were to be served directly by the Santa Clara County Fire District rather than LAHCFD, this would result in a less optimal allocation and usage of the overall assets, thus diminishing the capabilities available to the both to the county and the LAHCFD.

This map shows the approximate coverage of the Los Altos Hills County Fire District. Exact coverage may vary due to changes in the District definition. If you have a question about the exact coverage in an area, please contact us.
