Los Altos Hills County Fire District

Twice a year the District organizes a 'Brush Chipping" program to help residents reduce the amount of combustible materials around their homes. Our chipping contractor comes to your residence and removes your prepared brush and tree branches to be chipped for recycling. You must be a resident of the district to participate in the program.

How Does the Chipping Program Work?

• Approximately one month before each chipping program, residents receive a letter with a card to return to request a chipping appointment

• If you want to participate, return the request card per the instructions in the letter

• The chipping service contractor will contact you directly to make an appointment

We encourage everyone to participate in this very successful program, which helps you keep your home safer by reducing potentially dangerous fuel from brush and tree branches.
