Family Emergency Preparedness Workshops: Jan 31 & Feb 7 2019

Family Emergency Preparedness info tableAs part of local efforts to improve our community’s ability to respond and recover from emergency and disaster situations, the Los Altos Hills County Fire District has partnered with neighbor communities and with the Los Altos School District to offer a Family Emergency Preparedness Workshop on January 31, 2019 from 7 – 9 p.m. in the gym at Egan Junior High, 100 W. Portola Avenue, Los Altos and repeated again on Feb. 7, 2019, 7-9 pm at Loyola Elementary School, 770 Berry Ave., Los Altos.

Captain Denise Gluhan from Santa Clara County Fire Department will present emergency preparedness information customized for families covering preparedness at home, emergency kits, family emergency communications plans, the basics of home fire safety planning, evacuation planning and more. Los Altos Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Ann Hepenstal will share information on preparedness resources in Los Altos and neighbor communities.
