After a disaster, CERT volunteers will likely encounter a natural gas or electric emergency. This course will teach you scene safety and what steps to take when you are faced with this type of emergency.
This course will be presented by PG&E representative Kevin Conant, Sr. Public Safety Specialist.
In this course you will learn the following:
Overviews of PG&E’s gas and electrical infrastructures
Properties of natural gas
Natural gas emergency response considerations, plans and checklists
Hazard identification and mitigation
Do's & Don't when you encounter electric power lines
