Personal preparedness is the foundation for resilience, and being able to help in a disaster. It is important to consider all members of your family when preparing for a disaster—including your pets
Pets have some special needs which should factor into our disaster planning. This class will provide information to help in both the pre-incident preparation as well as the post-incident care of dogs & cats. Topics will include:
- Emergency preparedness steps relating to pets
- Safety around injured house pets
- Medical evaluation of dogs and cats
- Dog and Cat 1st aid procedures
This will be classroom-based training so CERT PPE is not required.
