NEW DEAD TREE REMOVAL PROGRAM

The Dead Tree Removal Program is currently under revision. Updated information on the Dead Tree Removal Program is being developed and will be posted to this page.
The following Guidelines are subject to change:
- The Los Altos Hills County Fire District plans to remove trees that were evaluated under the FY2018/19 Dead Tree Program guidelines by the arborist and are currently scheduled for tree removal service. However, the number of trees and cost of tree removal for each site will be re-evaluated according to new guidelines.
- Residents who are currently on the waitlist as of March 19, 2019, will be scheduled for arborist evaluation and qualified trees removed in accordance with new guidelines of the Dead Tree Removal Plan.
- No additional sites are being added to the Dead Tree Removal waitlist due to high demand, budget limitations and program revisions.
- The Fire District is addressing the increased number of requests for service, its budget limitations and new program guidelines developed for fire prevention and fire fuel reduction in an effort to protect the community.
