Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program empowers volunteers with the skills and confidence to help themselves, their families, and their neighbors during emergencies.

See what we do: Watch a practice exercise.

In the aftermath of a disaster, local resources may be overwhelmed with hundreds of emergency calls. CERTs strengthen neighborhood resiliency and play a vital role in Los Altos Hills disaster response efforts.

Amateur Radio Classes and Licensing

Interested in becoming a part of the HAM amateur radio group? Everyone is welcome to take a licensing class. There are many opportunities to take a class to become an amateur radio operator.

The Silicon Valley Volunteer Examiners group gives tests on the first and third Saturday of every month.  For more info or to register for a test (pre-registration required), visit https://www.svve.org/.

Hamstudy.org offers preparation tools as well as online tests (including free ones!).  Upcoming test sessions can be found at https://hamstudy.org/sessions.
