How to Participate in a Project Near You

If a Community project, such as an Evacuation Route project is coming to your area, you will receive a packet in the mail with details about the project and how you can participate.

  • Meet with a team member to discuss specific work on your property
  • Complete and return the Right of Entry (ROE) permit included in the packet, or fill out the ROE permit online by visiting the project page.
  • Coordinate your work to remove hazardous vegetation on your parcel with the schedule of the evacuation route project in your area (sign up for our Defensible Space Brush Chipping and Removal Program)

We encourage residents to participate in these types of projects, as increased participation allows us to clear hazardous vegetation further from the edge of the roadway. This increases the effectiveness of the projects, providing easier access for emergency vehicles responding to a fire and for residents evacuating an area, in addition to improving visibility and roadway safety.

Fill out a Right of Entry Form to allow the District to treat beyond the public right of way adjacent to your property. The extra treated width makes evacuation routes and the community safer.
