Los Altos Hills Community Emergency Response Team and American Red Cross

Join us to learn the roles and responsibilities performed at a shelter during a disaster.

Shelter Fundamentals (Class 1 of 2) is a basic level course that introduces the roles and responsibilities for selecting, opening, organizing, operating, and closing of a shelter during a disaster. This course focuses on what new shelter workers need to know to work in a Red Cross shelter.

This class is a prerequisite to Shelter Supervisor (Class 2 of 2).

Both classes are "classroom only" learning and require separate registration in EventBrite.

Both classes are a joint training opportunity for residents and volunteers of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.
