Red Flag Warnings / Fire Weather Watches / Hazardous Weather Conditions

Wind Advisory in Effect from Jan 26, 7:00 PM until Jan 27, 7:00 AM

  • National Weather Service Watch advisory
  • The National Weather Service is anticipating South winds, 20 – 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected, locally in excess of 60 mph in the ridges and peaks. Out of caution, the Fire Department will increase firefighter staffing at El Monte Fire Station due to the high winds.
  • Residents should avoid certain activities, such as using lawnmowers or other spark-producing equipment in or near dry vegetation, outdoor burning, etc., during hazardous weather conditions and high wind advisories.

Red Flag Warnings

A Red Flag Warning indicates that weather conditions in the next 12 – 72 hours may result in extreme fire behavior. Go to Santa Clara County Fire Department’s Ready! Set! Go! Program page to learn more about Red Flag Warnings.
